While this seems to be a very wide gap, it is completely understandable as with anything, you pay for what you get. You might only need one song or maybe a combination of songs for a full length mix or even multiple mixes. There is no exact price as every job is different and requires different attention to detail. We see our average client full length music project being somewhere between $700 to $2000 for a 60min mix fully licensed. Does your project fit into this average? Does your project fall below this? EXPLANATION OF FEES:
WHAT DOES YOUR MONEY PAY FOR?
Each "fee" grants full license (master, publishing, synch)
for the "one time use" of each paid song for one specified
project title (video, DVD, Web Stream, TV spot, Radio Spot).
Fee does not grant multiple uses of same song within project
without additional licensing fees. Fees are good
for the life of the completed product or known as
"perpetuity". Licenses are good for
non-exclusive world wide use.
Average length of songs range between 4-6
minutes. Additional license fees may apply for extending a
song past 6 minutes Regardless of what is used in final
project.
